Schmalz has developed a new series of vacuum blocks for CNC machining centres manufactured by Italian company Biesse*. Find out what distinguishes the vacuum blocks from Schmalz.
Vacuum blocks are an excellent alternative to original vacuum blocks for several reasons. They are very robust and hold the workpiece securely in the correct position, but they also offer great value for money.
Advantages of Schmalz blocks
The new VCBL-B vacuum blocks for console systems from Biesse are compatible with the original vacuum blocks and, just like the original, can be easily inserted into the mounting socket. As a result of, for example, mechanical damage to the block or wear, it is not always necessary to replace the entire block. Often only the suction plate needs to be replaced.
W standardowych systemach Biesse uszkodzony blok podciśnieniowy powinno się wymienić.
The proposed Schmalz solution therefore reduces the costs for spare parts and ensures that the machine is ready for operation again after a short downtime.
Schmalz vacuum blocks - precision positioning
Enclosures, Vacuum block VCBL-B , made of highly durable plastic, which ensures optimum stability. This ensures that the workpiece is correctly and securely positioned even with high machining forces. This is another important advantage, especially when machining solid wood, where the workpieces are often very large and heavy.
Schmalz's new vacuum blocks facilitate robust machining of a wide variety of workpieces within very tight tolerances.
Simple installation
The suction plate incorporates a special flexible sealing profile. This ensures an optimum fit of the workpiece to its surface and an efficient use of the vacuum without any loss of energy or gripping force. The clamping process is very simple: the vacuum blocks are placed in position in standard Biesse sockets. The clamping bands on the block's ring ensure secure placement in the clamping socket. The vacuum block has strong magnets, which further facilitates precise placement in the mounting socket. Smooth operation is also guaranteed by the integrated limit switch. This also allows machining with unused vacuum blocks without having to remove them from the console.
Vacuum blocks VCBL-B firmy Schmalz heights of 29 and 48 mm are available for 3- and 4-axis machines and 74 mm for 5-axis machines. Available sizes for Schmalz blocks are 140 x 130, 125 x 75, 120 x 50 and 130 x 30 mm. Depending on the version, they can be up to 30 per cent cheaper compared to standard blocks on the market.
